I read this book to my 4, 5 and 7 year old grandchildren to try and introduce genealogy to them. The 7 year old "got it", but the other two still wanted to go outside and figure out which tree in the yard was their family tree. This is a really nice story, but I think it's best for 2nd grade and higher.
