Editorial Reviews

Children's Literature - Trina Heidt
Kirsty and Rachel are the Weather Fairies' special helpers. It is up to them to help the fairies collect their missing magical feathers; the same feathers that are used to control the weather in Wetherbury. This time, as Kirsty and Rachel are preparing to watch the Wetherbury Fun Run in Green Wood Forest, a mysterious mist covers the race area and wreaks havoc among the runners, including Kirsty's mom. The mist is, of course, caused by one of Jack Frost's naughty goblins who misuses the feather. The goblin, however, has caused so much mist that even he can't find his way out of the forest, and he soon becomes as frightened as a little child. Learning this, the girls and Evie the Mist Fairy soon devise a plan to scare the feather away from the gullible goblin. As part of the "Rainbow Magic: The Weather Fairies" series, this short chapter book follows the same pattern as the others, but will be appealing to most little girls who dream of and wish to be friends with modern-day fairies.
