Evil On The Peak:
Asia's richest person is murdered. His wife, girlfriend, two ex-wives and heir were all with him before he died. Can an unknown ex-detective, summoned by the dead man himself, tell police officers why a billionaire was killed? Horace Cheung -- Hong Kong's richest man -- and his family get together for the Chinese Spring Festival. There's a wonderful house, a wonderful party, it's a wonderful time of year. There are firecrackers, red decorations, presents, food and merriment. Horace plays with his great-grandchildren. There aren't any more quarrels than you'd expect at a big reunion. Then Horace is found brutally murdered. Should the criminal flee, in fear? Yet it is the police who find themselves under scrutiny. As they search for clues, Horace's ex-wives, final wife, heir and girlfriend all press for vindication. Round the rich houses of the dynasty, its members reach for their inheritances as much as justice for Horace. Horace himself, from beyond the grave, sets out how the police must run the case. They should call in "Stroll" Jardine. Few police officers, and none of Horace's family, recognize the name. Can this unknown, summoned by the dead man himself, explain the murder?
