Victoria has locked herself away in Holt’s Tower in despair and grief over the death of Kross, who was killed for contradicting the will of the universe and defying the gods, or more importantly, Odin himself. But Victoria is also ashamed of the evil Kross wrought and her feelings turn to hatred. "Evolution" is a mystical tale of supernatural mayhem as people's choices are put on the line. There is a large variety of interesting characters – especially Elf Queen Freya and Dr. Albert Holt – key players in the battles to come. Decisions have to be made. The future is at stake. To fight or to be killed is the question.

Filii Noctis has an awesome imagination with a far reach into the mystical world of gods and fate. I found myself intrigued with the Goddess Helheim and would have liked to have seen more of her in the story as well as her conflicts with Odin. I thought that the end of times marked by the breakdown of reality had an interesting vibe. Overall, well done and an enjoyable read.
