Book has good content, however the ebook alone does not give access to the CD files like o'reilly books do. This is disappointing.

John Walkenbach is one of my favorite tech authors. He is thorough, he is knowledgeable, and his topic progression flows in a very logical manner. His books are easy to read, well organized, plenty of examples both in the text and with accompanying CD. In today's internet access to anything and everything, what Walkenbach's book, Excel 2010, Power Programming with VBA, gives you are the reason's why something works, and some of the pitfalls that can happen. You don't get that from internet searches. You learn good techniques, error handling. So, if you want to be more than a hack, then get this book.

He is clearly an expert, but would have preferred a bit less discussion of Excel itself, and considerably more discussion of VBA and how to use it. This will, however be an excellent reference volume for me down the road.
