    Great Supplement

This is a great supplement to the Rites of Passage book! The workbook walks you through the same steps as the book by giving you various assignments to learn from.

    REALLY TWO BOOKS

What I liked was that this book is in 2 parts, and you actually cut it in two. The first half prepares your paperwork; you do that at home. And the second half manages your search; you take that with you. I also liked the idea of first developing a 'Campaign Strategy' and then writing my resume and cover letter. I did versions so each could be slatted toward a certain industry or position. I found the worksheets made me think about my career in depth and resulted in superior resumes and cover letters. And I really did use the tear-out 'Attache' pages.

A TRUE GEM - A WORKBOOK THAT REALLY WORKS!!

As an executive for many years I started using Mr. Lucht's first book RITES OF PASSAGE back in 1989 and for my latest job search [after 9-11 in the worst job market ever] I got the lates revised edition of RITES and added this workbook to my basket. What a great find! I started my new position at a significant increase in compensation less than 37 days after beginning to follow the plan found in this workbook. The workbook takes you through resume and cover letter writing with forms to fill-in that guide you along. Then goes on to strategies for getting noticed, followed by interview skills to get the job. The networking worksheets are handy, therefore I found myself transferring the information from them into my computer every few days. The workbook actually comes apart so that the worksheets you need for making notes after networking activities and interviews can be taken with you, then you can make notes while the information is fresh. What more could you ask? This book leads you into making your paperwork more personal and specific and different from all the others, not copycat and similar. I got lots of complements on the mailing I sent. I even had recruiters calling to say how impressed they were with my resume and cover letter even though they did not have a appropriate search for my background. This workbook really works.
