Psychic Power Tools

Introduction

You may not think you are psychically gifted, or that you have the kind of time, energy, or concentration it takes to utilize a psychic gift. Allow me to dispel those beliefs. We've all got psychic tools, and we all use them, all the time. Most of us just don't know what we're doing.
Perhaps you are facing a meeting with your boss about your job evaluation. You know it's coming up so you think about it, wondering if it will go well, hoping that you'll be praised, or hoping that you won't feel too uncomfortable or be unfairly judged. That's nothing special—we've all been there, right? But what if I told you that just by thinking about the meeting, you are putting your psychic energy into it? And that if you had a handle on your psychic power tools, you could actually influence your evaluation—even before the meeting occurs.
It's true. You could turn your subtle wish—"I hope it goes well"—into a real blast of energy that could affect the whole outcome of your conversation. Once you've identified your personal power sources, you can actually send psychic energy into the future—to diffuse any potential unpleasantness and even to amplify praise. You can also use your power tools in the midst of a meeting. Rather than simply wish you had a better rapport with your boss, you can evoke a sense of calm, make a compatible connection, and diffuse any hierarchical energy that may negatively affect your discussion. You'll even get used to switching emphasis with different power tools while you're in a meeting—just try not to react out loud when you see how effective they are (as I did whenfirst practicing with my power tools).
Mastering psychic power tools can make dealing with people, even difficult personalities, more interesting, less stressful, and perhaps even enjoyable. Psychic power tools get results. You can infuse a project with so much psychic energy that it comes to fruition even against great odds. You can turn a potentially hostile meeting or a hard sell into a win-win situation, ease your way through what you thought would be a tough negotiation, and create a more pleasant and productive work environment for all.
As you become more comfortable with your power, you'll find that you aren't pushed around by other people as much, nor are you at the mercy of events beyond your control. You'll find change exciting, not threatening and dark. You may even find that you welcome certain challenges, taking the opportunity to practice with your power tools.
The tips, techniques, and exercises in this book are designed to help you identify your power and use it more effectively. Before you can do so, however, you must take a moment to consider how much (or how little) you know of your own psychic gifts.
Understanding Your Personal Power
Consider the following: What does power mean to you? Abundance? Recognition? Influence? Wealth?
Do you know the difference between personal power and political power?
Physical power and material power?
Intellectual power and intuitive power?
How open are you to your own power?
How do you see power in others?
Do you move with your power at all times or is it halted or exalted depending on where you are?
How in touch are you with your own power?

Take this simple quiz to determine your Working Power Quotient. Remember, there are no right or wrong answers here—this is simply a test to assess your current behavior and get you thinking about the real power arena, away from what is expected in your work environment or what you have been told by
others.
