About the Author

William Smith, MS, NSCA, CSCS, MEPD, completed his B.S. in exercise science at Western Michigan University followed by a master's degree in education and a post-graduate program at Rutgers University. In 1993, Will began coaching triathletes and working with athletes and post-rehab clientele. He was a Division I Collegiate Strength Coach and has been competing in triathlons and marathons since 1998, recently finishing the Steelhead Half Ironman in Michigan in 5 hours and 22 minutes. Will founded Will Power and Fitness Associates and currently consults for fitness, healthcare, and wellness centers in New York and New Jersey.

Keith Burns, MS, CSCS,
graduated in 2008 with a Master of Science in Human Movement with a concentration in Corrective Exercise from Arizona School of Health Sciences, A.T. Still University. Keith has served in almost every capacity of the exercise science field at both the collegiate and professional level, working primarily as a strength and conditioning coach. His professional experiences also includes working with several baseball organizations as a strength and conditioning coach, including the Chicago White Sox, Philadelphia Phillies, and Detroit Tigers. Keith has also worked for two national sports performance franchises, Velocity Sports Performance and the Parisi Speed School. Keith currently works as a tenured track Instructor of Exercise Science at Raritan Valley Community College.

Christopher Volgraf, CSCS, received his degree in Exercise Science from Temple University, where he specialized in Exercise Testing & Prescription and Sports Specific Training. He currently holds the NSCA Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist and Certified Personal Trainer, Certified Exercise Physiologist certification from the American College of Sports Medicine. One of the founding employees of the Princeton Longevity Center, Chris proudly served as the Director of Fitness and Senior Exercise Physiologist from 2002-2016. Over the last decade Chris has also built a very successful strength and conditioning and personal training business.

John Rumberger, PhD, is among of the world’s leading authorities on cardiac and vascular imaging using CT Scanning. Dr. Rumberger received his doctorate in engineering from Ohio State University in 1976 and graduated from the University of Miami School of Medicine in 1978. He completed his internship and residency in internal medicine at the Ohio State University Hospitals, and completed a cardiovascular diseases fellowship and early faculty development at the University of Iowa. He is currently Director of Cardiac Imaging and Lipid Management at PLC and is Board Certified in Internal Medicine and Cardiovascular Diseases.
