Butterfii Fields has been through it all in her young life from watching her teenage mother being physically and mentally abused to being impregnated by her own father. She has been raped, tortured and abused. She no longer trusts anyone but the siblings who endured the same abuse as her. The years of abuse have led the fragile Butterflii to commit the ultimate crime… murder.
She is deemed mentally unstable and her crime lands her in the infamous mental hospital St. Elizabeth’s in S.E. Washington, DC where she meets the only person she feels she has a connection to, Georgia Marks.
Georgia is the complete opposite of Butterflii, she is beautiful and smart and seems to have everything under control, except one thing…her drug problem. Georgia battles her own demons which stems from a past of her abuse of the drug, Love Boat, that runs rampant through the DMV streets at an all time high.
Her addiction to the powerful drug LB, the death of her brother Emilio accompanied by a heist gone wrong, places Georgia in St. Elizabeth’s along with Butterflii when they decide being locked up in St. Elizabeth’s is something they can no longer withstand.
Together, they break free from bondage and develop something they have never felt for anyone…love. The two girls embark on a journey to find themselves and make a way to survive in a world that has shunned and turned its back on them, only to find that the bond they thought could never be broken will be, by a twist of fate, that will devastate the unsuspecting Butterflii who refuses to forgive.

    Wow! Excellent read!

This short story had my emotions in an uproar! It seems the main character could never get a break. I did not expect what happened in the end. I recommend this story and I'm looking forward to reading more from this author.

    Tear jerker...get the kleenex

This story was so raw and sad, it was like a bad car accident...I couldnt look away... was terrified to find out what that horrible man was going to do next to those poor children. I wished he would've had to go through as much pain and suffering as he put those kids through. I love this authors books so far, but all her stories are so sad!!!!!

    Sometimes hell starts at home.
Exhale by Blaque introduces you to a young woman by the name of Butterfii Fields. Butterfii does not have much that can bring joy to her life but she is determine at one point of time to just survive. But after being physically and mentally abused by her father, you would think that things cannot get any more worst for this young teenager. Well, the reader can think again. She is then pregnant for her father. Making up in her mind that none of her other siblings are going to go through the same torture and pain that she went too, she kills her father. With this act she saves her young brothers and sisters but also lands herself in a mental ward and without a baby…. Over a time period she meets another like soul by the name of Georgia.
Georgia has her own issues after the death of her younger brother and being involved in a drug related shoot out that leave associates of hers dead. Opening up and talking to Butterfii gives her a sense of security to the point where a fresh new love is found.
Butterfii and Georgia break out of the institution in which they have been place to go on with there life. Will the issues of the past prove more powerful than the love that is new to this couple or will it survive?

Blaque did such a great job with this short novel. The twist and turns that is included are one that are not seen by the reader. She describes the struggles of each of the main characters in a way that gives the readers a full picture with so many words. I must say as the readers I felt that all avenues in this short story was covered, giving me satisfaction of a full length novel.

    Strong your girl

This book had to much incest in it, which made it hard for me to read. Butta was strong, and young she endured to much hurt and pain in her young life, however the ending shocked me.

    WOW

This short story will definitely keep the attention of its reader; there's a lot happening in these short pages and the author does an excellent job of keeping her readers in sync. Exhale is definitely not a short story for the faint at heart. Kudos to Ms. Blaque on providing readers with a strong ending and leaving no unanswered questions to this short stories finale.. I look forward to future work from this author!

I really enjoyed this story about a young girl name butterflii. It really pulled me in on what she went through in life and it was like i was there. I really had felt for the character and had diffrent emoitions while reading this story. Its sad to say but, some of the things that occured in this book happens in every day life. The book is good for it to be a short story and i beleive reader's will enjoy.
