Overview

EXIT STRATEGY… Leaving this Life with Grace and Gratitude, is a book that takes a hard look at elder care in America through the eyes of one of its most charming and outspoken elders, a nursing home resident named Bee Landis. The book shakes up the status quo by courageously revealing the guilt, shame and fear of millions of baby boomers that are dealing with aging and dying parents. Kelsey Collins urges all of us to “adopt an elder,” and shows the reader how fulfilling a relationship with an aging parent or friend can be. EXIT STRATEGY, also humanizes the aging process in a “no holds barred” manner that gently forces us to recognize we are not only all in this together, we are also all going to exit at some point. Having our own exit strategies will help us to live each day more fully, genuinely and more lovingly.

Most Awesome book for everybody.. a must read!

This book is such a joy to read.. the antics of Bee just cracked me up in many of the chapters. Kelsey weaves the story of Bee and their relationship while talking about elder care in our country and how important it is to have an exit strategy and coming to terms with death, right here and now. This book helped my mom too who was caring for her dying husband. I have read it twice and keep buying it and giving it as gifts too.

    Excellent Book!

In Exit Strategy, Kelsey's "no holds barred" manner forces us to recognize we are not only all in this together, but we are also all going to exit at some point, and perhaps our own exit strategies will help to live each day we have here more fully, genuinely and lovingly.

Excellent book! If you're ever planning on exiting at some point, you'd better have a strategy...
