"Experiencing Grace” is the true account of how the author, D. Michelle Stokes, got through the first year of loss after the death of her mom. What I really like about this short novel is not only does she give account of all she went through but also, in very great detail, tells you how to rely on God through it all. She gives wonderful scriptures at the beginning of each chapter and uses life experiences and things she's used to deal with the death of her mom in each chapter to get her as well as the reader through and to a better place in life. The different things she suggests can be used for life in general, not just for the loss of a loved one but for any loss, disappointment, heartache, or whatever you experience in this life. I love the way she just let the chapters flow. Not long chapters, more like little nuggets to enjoy as you read through this book. I even highlighted a lot of the book just to go back and gleam from it at a later date. Thank you, Ms. Stokes, for sharing such a wonderful read. The only thing I can say is I wish it were longer.
