Overview

She was found with a guitar string still wrapped tightly around her soft neck. Eighteen year old Josh Anderson, the college boy from next door, is charged with her murder. It was his guitar string around her neck. His footprints are found inside her house. Her earring found under his bed. Donna Gardner's husband Jack was hundreds of miles away on business.
Homicide Detective Dean Daly was Jack's best friend and was suspicious even before he stepped onto the crime scene. It was a simple comment over a few beers made by Jack six months previous. A comment of how DNA evidence is so over used and over trusted these days that even he could plant DNA evidence so easily that the deeper one searched, the further from the truth the evidence would lead. And no one could ever catch him.
Dean pursues Jack while Jack insists he has nothing to do with his wife's murder. The evidence tells of a secret sexual relationship between the two lovers Donna and Josh. The trial of Josh nears, and a stranger approaches Jack with some revealing information that changes everything. He demands Jack and only Jack to take action to clear young Josh. He tells Jack that Jack must act soon or he will go public with what he knows. Jack has always known more than he has told and now faces a difficult decision that will determine the fate of young Josh and the others involved.

Meet the Author

Ray grew up in the small town of Kimberley in British Columbia before moving to Calgary Alberta to go to college. He has remained in the Calgary area ever since.

Ray's first book, THE BLUFFINGTON FOUR is a time travel mystery about four students who disappeared in the mid 1960s.

EXTREME MALICE released in early 2012, is a dark mind bending thriller. If you could create the perfect murder and get away with it, would you? A young university student is charged with murder. His guitar string is wrapped around her neck. His shoe prints are left at the scene. Her earrings found under his bed. Her husband hundreds of miles away. But what really happened...?

IN THE MIDST OF A PREDATOR is a very very short psychological story. Released in mid 2012. The story follows a young boy who is alone at the fair grounds and finds comfort in a stranger who reaches out to him. The young boy is having the best night of his life, unaware what the man has something very different in store for him.

WISH ME FROM THE WATER was released in January 2013 .
Two teenage hockey players brutally murder their parents in an unexpected altercation after a close friend and teammate commits suicide. The town's people believe the suicide was another tragic result of bullying, but the two boys have learned the true horror of why their friend took his own life, and decide to take matters into their own hands.
Detective Dean Daly is called in to investigate the brutal murders and believes there is much more to the murders than first appears.

Awsome, very well written; the plot was extremely good, even when you know the killer. The author keeps you on the edge trying to figure out if he ges caught. Don,t want to give away the ending but I highly recommend this book if you enjoy a good mystery. Will look for more books by this author.

I couldn't put it down. Really enjoyed this book and the storyl

I couldn't put it down. Really enjoyed this book and the storyline was very different from anything else that I have read. There are grammatical errors and like the other reader noted, names were switced several times which had the reader confused for a short period of time, but over all, well written and very enjoyable

Did ANYBODY proofread this book. Name of the victim and name of victim's mom were switched several times. Other names were switched as well. Otherwise a quick read that's really not worth reading.

    mystery

If you like mysteries, and crime novels, you will like this book. The story moves along very nicely, from different points of view. You see the entire story, every aspect of the plot. It was hard to put the book down.

    EXTREME MALICE

Great plot and characters are very believable. Could not put down book til finished at 1:15am like other reader. Was a bit slow start but well worth reading til end... Loved! LOVED! How it ended. Not 5 stars due to could use good editor to catch the minor mistakes and did get confusing on moms and mominlaws and girlfriends names who was talking to who and what in one chapter.. but is mundane chitter chatter and in no way harms the full character development and great story . Am purchasing next book to read of author .

    Worth reading...

This is a pretty good book. There are a few editing errors. Although the end is rather anticlimactic.

Good story. Could use more editing. At the beginning you had mom brenda dead instead of daughter donna. Throughout the book was more mistakes. I had to stop and reread to make sense of the sentence.

    Take it or leave it

I am luke warm about this book, at best. The writing lacked any semblance of flow...it was choppy and redundant (jack did this. He felt this. Then he did this and felt this because of this.). I had to force myself to continue reading in spots. The plot had a lot of potential and could have been an excellent suspense novel. It was not, however, executed well. The mystery lasted for about a quarter of the book and the last 3/4 just drug on. The ending left SO much to be desired. I have no desire to read this book again, and i also will not be reading this author again.
