Covers all aspects on survival for the beginner

I bought this book mainly out of curiousity, not actually seeking it out. While I never considered most of the material in the book prior to reading it, I have found a new appreciation for the lessons I have learned. This book is good for people who are a novice in survival techniques and it does a very good job explaining many basics and at times it goes into much detail. The photo's and step by step guides are also very useful. I found the outdoor section on how to make clothing out of animal hides very informative and interesting. All in all a good read and a great book that introduces you to many different aspects on survival in situations you would not normally consider for every day life, whether it be in the city or the great outdoors.

    Extreme Survival

I bought this book for my boyfriend and he absolutely loved it. He read through it all on the first day. He said it had useful tips on how to make shelter, what to pack, alternatives to materials you may not have with you, and how to find food. It seems very helpful for when going camping. However, its not very small so its better to just read up before you go anywhere. If its just camping then you can definately take it along but its not very ideal for hiking when you have limited space available.
