Overview

People have begun disappearing in Pike Cove, a sleepy coastal town in Michigan. When fifteen-year-old Francesca Merriweather—who prefers to be called Frank—accidentally, and literally, runs into an alien fugitive who has crash-landed in the woods, she realizes that the mystery is far more sinister than anyone suspects. Francesca is more comfortable dealing with aliens than with her own peers or even her unhappy family, and she throws herself into investigating the case with a space geek's relish. But when her Dad becomes the latest to disappear, the investigation suddenly takes on a sense of dread and personal urgency.
A terrifying plan, cuddly and ugly aliens, a momentous discovery, and unexpected new friends—Francesca lives through a lot in just a few days. And lives—just.

Exvasion is a great read with in-depth characters with different personalities. I enjoyed the friendships that are formed and grow within the story and how they use their unique abilities to overcome odds. The story keeps you on edge and at the edge of your seat. The story plot is creative and well thought out. I love how the book portrayed the alien planet which was thorough and very unique compared to other books I have read. Readers of any age can enjoy this adventurous and mysterious story!

This book is a great read if you want to enjoy a sci-fi mystery thriller. The characters are very well developed and are hard not to fall in love with. The story is written by different viewpoints about every other chapter which really lets you in on how every character analyzes one other and the situations they are thrown into. Exvasion kept me on the edge of my seat and was hard to put down. The writer really made this book stand out in my mind because of how well developed this very unique, alien plant is, which makes you feel like you are really there. I would definitely read another book by this author! Keep Writing!
