The book EYE OF TERROR is one of the best WH40K novels ever written. Multiple stories are told, but all seem to link together in one way or another, from the story of a fallen Dark Angel Space Marine, to a Rouge Trader and his fellow Navigator, to the captain of a battleship as it is boarded by Chaos Space Marines. Very good book, i recommend you read it. NOW.

It tells of a sad state in the publishing industry that such an amazing writer as Barry Bayley has to write franchise work while his originals gather dust. But it also tells something of Bayley's integrity as a writer how he can take such a world, insert a dash of his own talent, a touch of his ideas, and make it glitter with amazing vistas, rabid pacing and utter professionalism. This isn't the great BJB novel we've been waiting for, but it shows that he can work wonders when given the opportunity. And it is by far the best franchise or media tie-in novel I've ever read; entertaining from the first page to the last, with careful plotting and explosive action.
