Overview

Grayson Adams is living a double life in Victorian England. By day, he paints erotic pictures, by evening he attends the balls where eager mamas throw their virginal daughters at him, though he is merely the youngest son of a baron. Lately, however, he’s lost his muse, and wonders what it would be like to paint one of those virginal society misses.
Sarah Dusenberry is enduring her fifth season, and is tired of her mother pushing her toward a husband, when it’s clear no man wants her. Why can’t she just travel with a companion, lead the life of a well-off spinster? But her mother wants her to have the protection of a man and will not part with the funds Sarah needs for her dream of travel. In search of her own funds, she answers an ad for an artist’s model, never thinking of how she’ll be modeling—or how much she’ll enjoy it.
Grayson becomes entranced with his new model and pursues her in society as he struggles to keep his distance in the studio. What will Sarah do when she learns the truth?

Meet the Author

Emma Jay has been writing longer than she'd care to admit, using her endless string of celebrity crushes as inspiration for her heroes. She discovered her husband has way more tolerance for screensavers and hunk-decorated blog posts when she calls them her "heroes." Emma, married 26 years (wed at the age of 8, of course) believes writing romance is like falling in love, over and over again. Creating characters and love stories is an addiction she has no intention of breaking.

    Hot and sexy

Sarah and Grayson's relationship grew from Sarah seeking excitement and Grayson hiding behind an alias in order to do his erotic paintings. An ad in the paper for a model brought them together, but in the end, these two misfits of society fell in love.

    4 1/2 stars - very enjoyable!

I really enjoyed this story. It is well written, the characters are likeable and I cared about their lives. And the sex scenes are well done.

4 1/2 Stars. Hot and Short Tale

If you ready for a Hot read, this is it. It's fast but very enjoable.
The story is about a society lady who wants to get some freedom and travel and her only solution is to apply for an artist model and make some money. He is a painter who paints very sensual paints. When this two gets together there is plently of fireworks. This is my first read from thsi writter but it won't be my last one.
