I received this book as a bonus selection when it was first published. I used excerpts from the book during several Black History Month Celebrations. I shared it with all my friends, one of my friends liked it so much they kept it. !

This book is a great book for projects concerning blacks struggle for freedom. I recently did a report on James Meredith and this book was a great resource.

Difficult to read - not a story teller's story. Very insightful.
