Kate and the Clans ~ Chapter 5

Lightpaw's eyes glittered with suspicion. He was just about to repeat the question, but was, thankfully, cut off "Lightpaw! Are you training to become an elder? To stand around all day and gossip?" Boulderheart said sharply, noticing that we'd stopped moving. "Sorry." Lightpaw muttered, embarrassed. Bouoderheart jerked his head, and Lightpaw walked foward to stand where Boulderheart had been, while Boulderheart stayed next to me. Even more uncomfortable walking next to this cat than I had been with Lightpaw, the rest of the journey passed silently and quickly. I noticed Nightsong and Lightpaw stop first, then Boulderheart. "Okay, kit. This is the border." Nightsong said, looking back at me. I hesitated, and felt Buolderheart roughly nudge me. I took a deep breath, wondering if I really wanted this. I mean, I could find Bluestar again. Somehow force her to turn me back into a human. But I knew that I'd never be able to do that, not until the mystery surrounding my transformation was solved. So I raised my chin and walked forward, determined to find RiverClan. Not long after, I hear a shriek, followed right after by a splash, and then some laughter. "Real funny Pikepaw." Hissed a feminine voice. "Oh, come on, it was funny and you know it." The laugher, whom I assume is Pikepaw, says. The girl doesn't reply. I round a big bush, finding two ginger tabbies, so similar looking that they must be related, sitting by a creek. One of them is wet, and is licking her fur dry. The other one is mainly looking at the creek, though I can only describe the look on his face as a puppy dog expression, and he keeps casting glances up at the girl. "Am I forgiven?" He asks. The girl rolls her eyes, but gives Pikepaw a friendly shove. "Fine. Just don't do it again." She says. But Pikepaw doesn't continue on in their conversation. He's crouching down, a low growl slipping through his teeth. "Flowingpaw, shh, I scent rogue." He hisses, stalking forward. I slip underneath the bush, afraid of a hostile encounter with these two cats. But the tall plant doesn't help at all, because Pikepaw comes right up to my hiding place, and sticks his head under. He relaxes a bit, and goes back out for a moment to murmur something to his companion. "It's okay, little one, we won't hurt you." Flowingpaw says, getting as close to the bush without joining me underneath. I trust her, and slowly inch out. "Where's your mother?" Flowingpaw asks as I come out into the open. I don't know how to answer that without sounding crazy, so I remain silent. Flowingpaw sighs, and turns to Pikeaw. "Should we take her to Lilystar?" She asks. Pikepaw shakes his head. "I don't know. It seems like she's alone...I mean, I can't smell any scents other than hers." He replies. Flowingpaw frowns, then turns back to me. "Can you tell us your name, little one?" She asks, bending down. Again, I don't answer. "Let's just take her. All the rogues and loners in the area know about us. If her mother is looking, then she'll know to check the Clans." Pikepaw mewed. Flowingpaw nodded, then bent down again to pick me up.~~~~~~~~~~Woah, longest chapter yet! Nothing much to say other than the names of Nightsong and Flowingpaw do NOT belong to me. They belong to people on a Warriors rp website ( c r e e k c l a n c a t s . w e b s . c o m without any spaces. Please at least look at it!) So Tabby, Cougar, all credits go to you for coming up with such AWESOME names :3. If you do decide to look at it, I'm Rage on there.
