About the Author

Alice lives at the intersection of holistic living, creativity, business, and education. A student and teacher of factors that make children diagnosed with sickle cell (sc) thrive, she is an adviser to parents and colleagues in the fields of wellness and special education. Driven by a relentless curiosity, Alice has invested over a decade in rigorous research in best practices in education and the last five years studying patterns in climate, stress levels, nutrition, sleep, and activity level in her own child diagnosed with sc. Of particular interest to Alice is sc and maintaining cell integrity and intracellular balance. She is a co-founder of Well Cell, LLC.

Amani Jung is a bespoke cloth dollmaker, entrepreneur, and connoisseur of all things vintage. Amani's overwhelming contribution to this book through her black and white illustrations, layout, and cover design was a dream come true collaboration.
