Meet the Author

F. Scott Fitzgerald, 1896-1940

Fitzgerald is regarded as one of the greatest American writers of the 20th Century. The self-styled spokesman of the "Lost Generation" — the Americans born in the 1890s who came of age during World War I — crafted five novels and dozens of short stories that treat themes of youth, despair, and age with remarkable emotional honesty.

Francis Scott Key Fitzgerald (September 24, 1896 – December 21, 1940) was an American author of novels and short stories, whose works are the paradigm writings of the Jazz Age, a term he coined himself. He is widely regarded as one of the twentieth century's greatest writers. Fitzgerald is considered a member of the "Lost Generation" of the 1920s. He finished four novels, This Side of Paradise, The Beautiful and Damned, Tender Is the Night and his most famous, the celebrated classic, The Great Gatsby. A fifth, unfinished novel, The Love of the Last Tycoon was published posthumously. Fitzgerald also wrote many short stories that treat themes of youth and promise along with despair and age.

This is amazing that Fitzgerald's most famous works are all in this one eBook. I haven't read all of them yet, but I plan to because the Great Gatsby was very good.

Not sure about the other review that says its missing The Great Gatsby. Just bought this book and clicked the CONTENT (for the reviewer who had to scroll through to get to the right chapter) button to skip to that book. Chapter 10 is a collection of his short stories. Whats even better? Because of the movie The Great Gatsby by itself is selling for $10.00+ and i got this collection which includes it for $1.99. Score this book before they figure it out. I am definitely a fan of "collected works" of great authors for Nook. Like the Dickens collection I bought earlier, this one, too, is a delight to carry with me on my travels. I'm not sure what process is used to create these digital versions, but I suspect they are scanned in from various sources. How else to explain the fact that, in both of mine, some books or stories are perfectly reproduced, while others have occasional "misprints" that appear to be caused by font issues (e.g., "and" showing up as "arid"). Whatever the reason, proofreading of the finished product could be better. Despite this minor flaw, it's a great read all the way through!

This book confused me at first, because some Nook books on the iPad have a page with links to the the various books/chapters, and this one doesn't.  However, if you tap the center of the screen, a contents link appears, and you can jump to the book you are interested in.  And, The Great Gatsby is included in this volume.

excellent collection in just 1.99 worth more than this, as it has the Great Gatsby included

I AGREE WITH THE PERSONS WHO SAID THIS BOOK IS VERY MISLEADING. FOR $1.99 I WOULD EXPECT TO SEE A TABLE OF CONTENTS AT LEAST. THERE WAS NO GREAT GATSBY TO BE FOUND ANYWHERE. ALTHOUGH THIS BOOK HAS NOVELS THAT I AM NOT FAMILIAR WITH, AND I INTEND TO READ THEM, THERE IS NO INDICATION OF WHERE THEY START AND END. THIS IS A BIG PROBLEM THAT I HAVE FOUND IN OTHER BOOKS TOO.

I bought this e-book because it included some of my favorite Fitzgerald stories, specifically The Great Gatsby. To my dismay, that story is NOT anywhere to be found with this text. Do not reccommend. Will be taking action to get funds back!

Love the books and stories. It is a shame that you have to page through to find them.
