Editorial Reviews

From Barnes & Noble

Bill Willingham's Fables has delighted readers and probably infuriated a few purists by reshuffling the elements of genres from fables, myths, and fairy tales to spy stories, whodunits, to zany romantic comedies. In his latest illustrated epic, Snow White's sister Rose Red returns to center-stage to grapple with demons both personal and public. (P.S. Mark Buckingham's striking pictures perfectly capture the tone of Willingham's tale.)

    I Also Recommend:

Best One in a Long Time

I was a little frustrated by Vol 14, but 15 makes up for it. It gets back to it's roots focusing on the main characters again that we've all have come to love. Totenkinder takes a big leap into the front of the action, as well as Bigby, Snow, and we finally see Rose Red again after her long seculsion in depression. The best part of this trade was that we got Snow and Rose Reds full background story as to why the siblings do not get along. There is also actual progress made with the Dark Man storyline which is nice because he's just been kind of haning around in the last couple of issues.
