    Delightful book about insects .

This is a brief example of the works of classic French biologist: series of short essays about common insects. ( Jean-Henry Fabre for entomology ~ like Newton for physics.) Even if you never were interested in bugs, read it for beautiful, elegant, delightful even loving style. Fabre gives volumes of information without a single difficult scientific term.
The main shortcoming of the book is absence of illustrations (original Franch editions have great illustrations) which would help the readers with the bugs they might have never seen or paid attention to.
