But Teresa isn't about deprivation. She loves food— especially pasta and Tiramisu! Teresa proves that you CAN have your skinny jeans and spaghetti too. She tells you exactly how to live La Bella Vita- the "skinny" way.

Editorial Reviews

Publishers Weekly
Giudice's peppy personality comes through as she celebrates her Italian heritage with a wealth of easy recipes. Beginning with a "Kitchen Catechism" that focuses on all dishes being prepped in under 30 minutes and with less than 10 ingredients, Giudice assures readers, "I'm never going to be the girl to give you recipes for tofu and soy milk meatballs. Non mi va; that's just not me." Nevertheless, Giudice is focused on staying fit and fed. Common sense advice (e.g., colorful food is good for you; extra virgin olive oil is the oil of choice) is juxtaposed with asides on Italian pronunciation, insider info on rosemary and Balsamic vinegar, and a rundown of nutritional stats for all the recipes. Included here are comfort food staples, such as a calamari and potato cacciuco, as well as low-fat classics ("Skinny Spaghetti Bolognese"), "romantic" recipes ("Sexy Chickpea Chard Stew"), and "Guilt-Free Desserts" (including a berry-ricotta tiramisu). Complete with a "Motivating Music" playlist and tips for storing fresh herbs, Giudice provides plenty of inspiration and information to pursue her favorite F-words: great food, staying fit, and—of course—being fabulous. It seems she just searched the net and found these recipes to put in a book and stick her name on them...it's shameful, but I guess anything for a buck. Don't spend the money just look online and you'll find the same recipes. I was given this as a gift luckily I was able to exchange it for a different title.

    Really?

Why bother with her books. She's all about making a profit to save her ass! Better cook books out there & by people who actually take the time to call them "family recepies"

Just as good as the original Fabulicious.

I wasn't a HUGE fan of Skinny Italian, but I ended up making a ton of stuff out of Fabulicious.

Side note: if you watch the show, you know the drama Teresa is experiencing over things she wrote in her last cookbook. You can tell she tried to avoid anything potentially insulting to friends in this one, which kind of sucks, because she does talk about the castmates at length in the first two
