This slim paperback holds a world of wonders for readers interested in the strange beasts that live on in mythology and legend. The bright and bold illustrations faithfully depict these wondrous creatures in all their glory. For example, the Vegetable Lamb grows out of the earth from a seed and produces fruit that looks like a real lamb. Here, fluffy sheep are depicted growing on green, leafy stalks. The Tree Goose grows on trees on an island north of Scotland. Here, ripe fruit falls from a willowy red tree, to hatch red and pink living geese.
