CRITICAL PRAISE FOR LEE GOLDBERG AND WILLIAM RABKIN...

"You'll finish this book breathless!" New York Times Bestselling author Janet Evanovich

"Leaves you guessing right up until the heart-stopping ending," New York Times bestselling author Lisa Gardner

"Lee Goldberg can plot and write with the best of them," Mystery Scene Magazine

"William Rabkin nails it...he truly captures PSYCH's manic energy," Bookgasm

"Lee Goldberg gives THE WALK a richness and truthfulness that wouldn't exist if it were only about a cardboard man fighting exterior threats. The story becomes far more poignant because it is about the hero's moral courage as much as it is about a paralyzed world. This is memorable fiction." — Spur-Award winning author Richard Wheeler

"Entertaining and ruefully funny," Honolulu Star Bulletin

"THE WALK is a magnificent novel -- by turns hilarious, scary, sad, witty and ultimately wise on its judgments about the way so many of us live these days. And it's one hell of a page-turner, too," Author Ed Gorman, founder of Mystery Scene Magazine

"Harrowing and funny..." -Ellery Queen Mystery Magazine

"With books this good, who needs TV?" Chicago Sun Times

"You'd be hard-pressed to find another recent work that provides so many hip and humorous moments," Bookgasm

I really liked this, but am going to make a short review because it is too short! I liked the characters, the plot, the descriptions (they're very hip) and then poof! It's like an installment... I hear there is a next one and am waiting... impatiently! :) All right guys, don't make me go Misery on you! o.~

THE DEAD MAN: FACE OF EVIL byLee Goldberg and William Rabkin is an exciting paranormal novella. This is the first in "THE DEAD MAN" series. The plot is interesting, easy to follow and reminds me of the Alfred Hitchcock series. The characters are interesting and will keep you longing for more. This is a series to watch for,it will keep you turning the pages from beginning to end. While Matt, has been buried under an avalanche for three months,he is found, taken to the morgue and found to be alive. When he awakens he finds he has a new twist of live and a new gift,If you can call it that. He sees the evil in people by seeing their decaying bodies, pus ridden sores, and other smelly, nasty things. This leads him to find that his childhood friend is evil. His wife died before he was in this accident,so he was attempting to start a new life, but when he learns of his gift he is scared of causing his new friend trouble so he decides to leave her to find answers. He need to learn who or what Dr. Dark really is.This is a story of good vs evil and is full of action. This book is a must read be all paranormal, thriller, suspense and fantasy readers. It will keep you wanting more and waiting for the next installment. This book was received for the purpose of review from Kaye Publicity and the author and details can be found at Createspace and My Book Addiction and More.

In this first of a planned series, by Lee Goldberg (one of my favorite writers) and William Rabkin, Matthew Cahill is buried beneath an avalanche of snow and ice. Three months later, his lifeless body is recovered but he wakes up in the morgue. Something follows him back to the living, a paranormal ability. Men's adventure meets the supernatural - think Stephen King and Don Pendleton collaborating. The Dead Man is a fast, fun read, perfect for the Nook. I've already downloaded the next in the series - The Dead Man: Ring of Knives. The roster of writers for upcoming The Dead Man episodes includes James Reasoner, Bill Crider and Harry Shannon. I'd also HIGHLY recommend Lee Goldberg's The Man with the Iron-on Badge, a great modern PI novel.

In February 2011 at Mammoth Peaks Resort, Barney and Sophie Slezak and their little daughter Kate build a snowman when the child finds the snow buried body of Widower Matt Cahill. Barney's video goes pandemic on YouTube while the Forest Rangers bring the corpse to the Clarion County Morgue where Assistant Coroner Lyle Whitaker begins the autopsy on the body buried beneath an avalanche for three months when he sees the impossible: blood. Matt returns to the living to the shock of every medical person involved in the case. As everyone wants a piece of Matt; Rachel, from the firm B. Barer and Sons Sawmill he quit when they downsized his friend Andy Goodis, shared a room with him when they went skiing just before the deadly accident. She takes him home form the hospital. However, he begins seeing things starting with a hole in Andy's face that is not there and a man stalking him that no one else notices. As people in his sphere die horrifically, Matt learns what love and friendship means in his second chance at life. The Face of Evil is a fabulous suspense novella that grips the audience from the moment Lyle takes that first slice and never slows down as Matt's past, present and future converge. Fast-paced, readers will wonder what is going on and who the serial killer is as the evidence mounts that Matt's near death experience has left him psychopathic with only Rachel believing he would never hurt anyone. With a nod to Stephen King's The Dead Zone, readers will enjoy the opening of The Dead Man saga. Harriet Klausner

This was a hold your breath, fly by the seat of your pants, page-turner. And every time I turned the page there was a new surprise. Very much in the style of Stephen King: the natural and supernatural exist in the same realm. It's the story of a man, Matthew Cahill, who after going through a life changing experience returns only to discover that he is attuned in a special way, and is very much in sync with, those who are about to die. He has special powers that he does not yet understand and as the plot unfolds for the reader, it also unfolds for the protagonist, Matthew. I would highly recommended reading this book. I read it in one sitting and even though I had a very tempting TBR pile, I never faltered from this book and simply couldn't put it down.
