Face to Face

Editorial Reviews

All Music Guide - James Christopher Monger
Face to Face compiles tracks from Queensrÿche vocalist Geoff Tate's eponymous 2002 solo album and the band's 2003 release Tribe in order to capitalize on the fact that both releases are on the Sanctuary label. Tribe was a return to form for the veteran progressive metal ensemble, boasting the return of its original lineup and a resonance that hadn't been apparent since 1990s Empire. Tate's album, on the other hand, is a collection of mostly adult contemporary, lightly jazzy, power ballads and experiments that don't sit well with the Queensrÿche cuts.
