Meet the Author

The only subject I was any good at during my childhood was English, so becoming a world renowned novelist was the supreme fantasy along with achieving the typical sporty ones concerning World Cup football matches and world title boxing fights.

I've always had a profound love of the written word, whether creating, reading or analyzing. It's lead to an exciting career in journalism and three well received published books have come along the way: No Glove No Love (boxing novel), The Elite Forces Handbook of Unarmed Combat (martial arts) and From Prison to the Premiership (ghostwritten autobiography).

The next phase is writing ebooks which I am grateful to Smashwords for providing the opportunity to do.Judging by the intinial reaction to my work, I may have finally found my niche!

I shouldn't expect anything better from a free book but this one was way worse than I expected. For only 23 pages it was a very quick read, but it wasn't very memorable and no plot development happened at all. DON'T BUY IT. IT'S NOT WORTH 2 SECONDS OF YOUR TIME!!!!

Reading the bad reviews actually made me want to read it more. Bad short stories are a guilty pleasure if mine and this one is terrible. Conversations are very awkward and choppy, clearly the male author has no idea how women think or talk together. Comes off as pretty sexist as apparently all the main character really cares about is money and big houses. The whole story is awkward reads almost like a commercial for facebook, james bond and ebooks. It's almost like it was written in another language and poorly translated. I won't even discuss the ending which was the high of awkward.

I thought there would be a ending to this book. I think the author should have explained things better and either should have an epilouge or more to the story.

The reviews are what led me to dowload this book. As a writer, I like to know what not to do. Without giving too much away, the characterization of each person in this story is cardboard, flat, uni-dimensional and sexist. Not all women care about wealth (I certainly don't). The dialogue was painful, tons of brand name dropping. A horrific, fun, trashy little read and cautionary example of poor prose.

Why is it so short? It doesn't make a lot of sense. The author should have explained it better or written more. The ending is really bad too.

Justin was her last boyfriend before he got married and now he worked at a library. She had a nice home was married to a dentist. Shee found him on facebook. She had made a new account on facebook under her maiden name on her laptop that is how she contacted him. So her husband would not see it on their computer at home. Melanie met Justin. It was her first boyfriend and that was it. She wanted to see him to see how he was and nothing more. Justin was now a publisher and she was leaving Paul after her second trip to see Justin. Her friend said that she was moving to fast. I enjoyed this novel. ShelleyMA

I personally would not get this book it seems bad and looks like waste of time

Conversations were terrible. The women in the book were described most definitely by a male who lives in a basement. The pacing makes no sense, there is no pacing whatsoever. And I guess there is a sequel? Dear God, this person is NOT meant to write books. I wrote better stories in high school.
