Overview

Mark Macy used Polaroid cameras and a special subtle energy device to take thousands of pictures of people over a 12-year period. As the pictures developed before their eyes, strange faces would frequently emerge in the mist of the photograph emulsion. These were faces of people who were not physically present, sometimes “posing” beside the live subjects, and sometimes replacing the live, human face altogether.
He calls them “spirit faces,” and they have raised many questions: Are the faces for real… not faked? If so, how are they possible? Where do they come from? Why haven’t we heard about such things in the mainstream media? Why do we feel “spooked out” when we look at them? Are these “spirits” around us all the time? If so, why can’t we see them? Do they influence our lives? What do scientists say about them? These are a few of the questions addressed in this book.
Note that this book is a polished, consolidated version of a series of copyrighted articles that can be viewed freely on the authors blog, www.macyafterlife.com, under the same title, "Faces In the Mist," with the photos in “living” color.

Meet the Author

During the height of the Cold War, Mark Macy was collaborating on a book project with leading thinkers from various countries who were deeply concerned about the survival of humankind, but the project was cut short in 1988 when he was diagnosed with cancer and nearly died. Suddenly, with a stake in the question of personal survival, Macy became consumed by the puzzle of what really happens to us after we die, and he needed proof.

A turn of events led him into a miraculous new field of research called ITC, or Instrumental Transcommunication, the use of technology to get in touch with the finer realms of spirit. In 1992 he befriended researchers in Europe who were in contact with deceased colleagues and Ethereal beings (angels) via computers, radios, and other devices. Macy himself began to get phone calls from the other side in 1994. After these life-changing experiences, he immersed himself in ITC. He established an international research panel, published two journals, wrote three books, and won the prestigious Swiss Prize for Epipsychology in 2001. The world-changing information that Macy and his colleagues received gave them a clearer understanding than ever before possible of the true human heritage.
Mark lives outside Boulder, Colorado, with his wife Regina (an energy healer) and their cat Khloie.
