Editorial Reviews

Children's Literature - Barbara Youngblood
Russell Ash has done a remarkable job in detailing events of the last millennium. Separated into various ages, i.e. Age of Religion, Age of Conquest, Age of Expansion, etc., the book gives an overview of the last 1000 years. Something special for each year is presented--such as famous people, unusual places, inventions, natural occurrences and events. Not quite like a timeline where one can compare different happenings on the same date. It still gives the reader a great overview of world history. Colorful illustrations and photographs further enhance the text. Special insets give more specific details about certain subjects. A very useful book for the home library or in a school or public library setting.
