Fade is has a great twist with shapeshifters in this Norse Ragnarok mythology storyline. A.K. Morgen has created her very own intriguing version of the battle that will end the world. Even though I had a few issues with this novel, it still had me flipping the pages, wanting to know Arionna and Dace's story. I enjoyed Dace's character the most. He was the quiet, strong kind of guy. The romance between Arionna and Dace quickly captured my heart and held me to this story.
Arionna's mother died in a car accident and she has to go live her father. Arionna is starting her first year of college, where her father is also a professor. When she goes to the college campus to get her class schedule, Arionna sees Dace, and there’s a pull to him like she’s knows him even though she has never seen him before. Soon it's very clear to Arionna and Dace that they are meant to be together, that Arionna belongs to Dace, and there’s a purpose to why they love each other so deeply. But Arionna and Dace have to figure out the mystery behind their love and how their love for each other is going to save the world.
Dace is a shapeshifter that has caged the wolf inside him. Arionna can feel the wolf side of Dace, but getting Dace to trust his wolf side is not going to be easy for Arionna when she can't even get Dace to trust her. Arionna and Dace’s romance is steamy hot and it's the strength of their love together that is the answer they have been seeking to fight evil in this Ragnarok mythology.
Fade with its German mythology storyline was definitely a new kind of read for me, but one I enjoyed, specially with Arionna and Dace’s steamy romance, I recommend Fade as a great read.
