Heather Kuehl doesn't mince words, and neither does the main character of her paranormal thrill ride Fade to Black, Sarah Vargas. The werewolf hunting werewolf has a vengeful itch to scratch, but what's more she's also an ace bounty hunter employed by the powers that be of the supernatural world, the Blood Moon Corporation. Throw in the way her partner in violent justice, Jared Fontaine, makes her feel when his ice-blue eyes combine with his robust British accent, and it's fair to say Kuehl's principle character has problems. But don't call her a damsel in distress. Don't even call her a damsel. Refreshingly different like a boot to the gut, Vargas scratches and curses with the best and worst of them, and the novel hesitates none at all before throwing the reader down into the dirt of the book's situation: a mystery in the American south needs solving, some vampires need killing, and the BMC has sent its best to do both the sorting out and the killing. The bad guys need not pray; there's no god to save them from Sarah Vargas' rage. Was this review helpful? Yes NoThank you for your feedback. Report this reviewThank you, this review has been flagged.

Sara is a were wolf that was attacked 5 yrs ago. She works for the Blood Moon Corporation with her partner Jared. Sara wants revenge on the wolf that changed her. But will she get more than she asks for???
This is an action packed book. If you like fatasy, adventure, action and suspense then this book is for you. I recommend this book to anyone who likes paranormals. If I had to pick a problem with the book it would be the fact that it isn't longer so I get more action. This is a great read and i can't wait to read the next book in the series Malevolent Dead...
