More About This Book

Overview

If you could go back, do it over again, would you take a chance to find true love?

What if you had no choice?

On her fiftieth birthday, the faerie send Rebecca Miller a thousand years into the past to find her happily ever after with Ciaran MacDermot, Chief of Clann MacDermot, the last Fenian warrior in his line. In the twenty-first century, Becca is old enough to be Ciaran's mother. In the tenth, she's young enough to be his bride.

The fae forgot to mention one slight stipulation. The lovers must be bound before the Festival of Light, or Becca will forever disappear into Tir Nan Óg, the faerie Land of the Ever Young.

Will they discover the binding words before time runs out and they're torn apart forever? Or will their eternal love defeat their Faerie Fate?

Without the words, history is doomed to repeat itself.

    Great Read

Originally posted at: www.longandshortreviews.blogspot.com*****After a lifetime of pain, Becca has one final chance to find true love and happiness.

Becca's life has been filled with more pain and disappointment then anyone should ever have to bear. In an instant, a horrible accident robbed Becca of her youth. For twenty five years, she has struggled through the pain. On her fiftieth birthday, everything changes. Becca discovers that she is young again and has been thrust into the past. There she finds herself face to face with Ciaran, the most handsome man she's ever seen.

Becca's attraction to Ciaran is powerful and beyond anything she's ever felt for a man, which frightens as well as intrigues her. As Becca adjusts to life in the past, she revels in her regained youth and explores her feelings for Ciaran, but time is not on her side. Becca and Ciaran must be bound before the Festival of Light or all will be lost. However, there are those that conspire against the lovers and would do anything to keep them apart. Will Becca and Ciaran learn to embrace their connection, or will they run from it?

Becca is a wonderful heroine. She is certainly not a damsel in distress. Years of coping with crippling pain have made her tough and able to face any challenge. Her courage is admirable. When she regains her youth and vitality she takes none of it for granted. Becca's unusual connection to Ciaran puzzles her. Since she's never really been in a serious relationship before, she is unsure of herself. She will need to learn to trust her instincts and embrace the love that Ciaran offers or she will lose the love of a lifetime.

Ciaran is a powerful hero, though he is a bit unpredictable. One minute he's angry and stormy and the next he is tender and loving. It would be a bit much for most women to take, but he and Becca are perfect for each other. She is strong-willed and more than a match for any of Ciaran's moods. The love they share transcends time and is what legends are made of.

I must also add that Ms. James did an excellent job of building the sexual tension between Becca and Ciaran. It was clear from the start that the two lovers craved each other. However, circumstances kept them from fully consummating their love until the tension was nearly unbearable. When the moment for Becca and Ciaran was finally right, the love scene was well written and very touching.

Faerie Fate is a great read. It is filled with interesting characters and the romance is passionate. I thoroughly enjoyed reading Faerie Fate and recommend it to any fan of true love and romance.

    Absolutely mesmerizing

Was sucked into the story (in a great way) from the very first paragraph. Have read and reread several times and find I go back and read again my favorite parts. Silver James tells a story that gets under your skin and doesn't let go.

    Kind of a letdown....

I really like the idea of the plot but the story was rather disappointing. There was no sexual tension between the main characters because they both desired each other from the beginning and neither was ever in doubt how the other felt. You didn't get any of the learning about each other, back story for character growth, etc. so that you were rooting for the characters by the end. You never really connected with them. It was just one plot story to another to keep them apart from each other. Just as one character heals from an injury, war breaks out, then the other character is injured, and when he heals, oh my, her period starts, and on her first "no bleed" day, they are separated again. Please!!!! Readers are smarter than that!
