Overview

Fahrenheit 451.

Meet the Author

I was excited to read this book because I read it few years ago but did not really understand it at that time, so when I saw it available on my Nook I purchased it. I purchased it without getting the sample, so when I went to read it, it was in Spanish. Very disappointed that B&N did not give a warning. For me, who can not read Spanish, this was a waste of money. DO NIT BUT IF YOU CAN'T READ SPANISH.

I agree there is no way to know this is in spanish unless you read the reviews. Most people like myself trust B & N to tell you the correct language. I think refunds should be given to people who thought this copy was in english or they should be given the english version for free.

It would be nice if there was a language setting for the Nook app. That way, only books in the chosen language would be displayed.

IMPORTANT! I'm still looking for a way to inform the website admin or whomever it may concern, but the sample provided when I looked into the paperback was NOT IN SPANISH, it was in ITALIAN. Language learners, be very careful to get what you intend to buy!

This fabulous book inspires me and I hope, so many others, to fill in the positive in their actions, when they see the negative alternative that could come to be. Also, being enlightened is an accomplishment in itself. The book contains powerful metaphorical imagery. Strong language, also. I laughed a lot and may have cried? The only thing I didn't agree with was Titus's response to Violet's passing. This is an unhealthy, unrealistic fantasy that mimics what a lot of women in abusive relationships think: "Deep down inside, if he wasn't distracted, drugged, and or stupid, he really does care." Girlfriend, ya better get to gettin on your goodbye shoes. I thought the unrealistic part was Titus doing a 180 and crying over Violet's body, after he deleted her memories and repeatedly praised "Good time" Violet over Strong, Smart Violet. Men who do that to ya, ladies, aren't really men, but little boys. Most importantly, those little boys can't be changed through waiting n wishing, pleading, or manipulation of any kind.

This is an Italian translation (NOT Spanish), and certainly not the English edition. I reccommend reading the summary and sample before purchasing.
