Now, she can't ever leave.
Heather revels in the attentions of the charming knight, Sebastian - until he gives her a magical kiss that turns her into an emotional vampire. Without the reactions of a live audience to feed on, Heather will become an empty husk. Unfortunately, Sebastian doesn't mention that before he disappears.
While adjusting to her new life, heather impresses the Court, befriends a knife-juggling cynic, and is cast as a fighter opposite Jocko, a handsome rogue whose cavalier attitude frustrates her almost as much as his kisses do.
Before she can decide whether to open her heart again, Sebastian returns with a dark plan. If Heather can't stop him, he'll overthrow the Court and turn the unsuspecting audience into mindless slaves - and Heather can kiss any future with Jocko goodbye.
So, she does what she does best.
