More About This Textbook

Overview

What does faith have to do with fitness? What is the connection between being spiritually well and physically well? Author Tom Hafer answers these questions as he explores the connections between a strong faith and everyday lifestyle choices. Filled with practical ideas about food, exercise, and total wellness, the book explores the connections between real food and "living water;" affluence and "feed my sheep;" exercising for peace; and the relationship between a well congregation and well individuals. The book includes a theology of fitness, directions for exercises at various levels of fitness, and informative material about proper diet that enhances personal health and supports sustainable agricultural practices.

    I Also Recommend:

    Easy, Helpful Read

I picked up this book as a pastor trying to make a faith/health connection for my congregation. I found Hafer's words inspiring and helpful and have passed this book on to church members and friends. The emphasis on asking "what's in it for the world?" rather than "what's in it for me?" is a far better motivator for healthy living and Hafer sums that up well.
If every Christian could pick up this book and begin to apply it, we would see significant changes in the world and in our lifestyles.
