Overview

Faith Evans had written songs for a variety of new jack and hip-hop artists (including Mary J. Blige, Al B. Sure!, Pebbles, and Christopher Williams) before releasing her first album, Faith. The record proves that she is as powerful in the spotlight as she is behind the scenes. Evans builds on a basic, hip-hop-influenced funk, alternating between simmering grooves and sultry ballads. Faith does have a couple of dull spots, but the album is a first-class debut.

The first time I heard about Faith was a writer for Mary J. Blige. I reasoned, if she can write that good for MJB, I knew she wasn't going to half-step on her own debut CD....I was not disappointed...Trust me you won't be either......

I love this album. I have been trying to find this album for some time now. My favorite song of this album (and my favorite Faith song of all times) is "Soon As I Get Home". I also like "Ain't Nobody". In other words, this album can only be summed up in one word: CLASSIC! Check it out!

Album is a classic, and so is her voice! Even with all the radio hits from this album, 'Reasons' was my absolute change my whole mindstate song. I've been a fan since I bought the CD in 95

Wonderful!! This is an album before Faith really made it big. Her songs where fresh and it showcases hit after hit. I've bought this CD 4 times and someone always steals it. I'm not letting anyone borrow this one. Get your own and don't loan it out :o)
