    Faithful Elephants

(Faithful Elephants),by Yukio Tsochiya is about three elephants thay get starved to death. There is a war going on and the zookeepers are afraid the elepants will get out.
There were three elephants that used to be in a zoo. The elephants had to be killed because World War 2 was going on. They were afraid the elephants were going to get loose and distory the city. They could have givin the elephants a shot, but their skin was to hard. The zookeppers had to starve them to death.
In (Faithful Elephants) the major conflict is that the elepant trainers had to watch the elephants die slowly. It's had to see someone you know or love die.
This book reminds me of a book called (Max and Sophie).(Max and Sophie) is about two dogs that die during a Earthquake.(Max and Sophie had to suffer. They had no food, water,or good health.
The Authors purpose of this book is trying to get the reader to see what it's like to follow in the elephants foot steps. This book is about a true story and sad to think about.

A perfect example of World War II in this tragic tale of survival.

"Faithful Elephants" by Yukio Tsuchiya is a story about a nuclear bomb about to drop near the Ueno zoo in Japan and the zookeepers in a worry. What if the bomb breaks the cages and the animals escape? They have no choice but to kill and poison the dangerous animals for the best of safety. The last ones left are the elephants. When poisoning and injecting the elephants do not work, the zookeepers have no choice but to let the poor animals starve to death. But at the end of the story, the author gives no sign that the bomb was dropped or not.The story helps tell about how people had to do things in life that they did not want to happen as well as the grief, sorrow and hardship of the time.
