Taking a stroll down Morganville is no problem. Leaving Morganville is. I had a super fun time reading this book. I went in eyes wide open and experience everything Claire did, including watching her back every 5 seconds... Plot: Since the beginning of this series no one has work harder then Claire. She proved herself in every way possible. So when Claire gets a chance to leave Morganville, I'm on board with her. I had hoped that things would go smoothly but like Morganville nothing ever is. Claire finds herself once again, fighting for her life. This plot drew me in and kept me there. The buildup to Claire leaving (made me cry), fights/love with Shane (made me cry) and angry, not to mention Claire is plain freaking awesome! Love: Shane do I have to slap you upside the head? C'mon guy! Get yourself together. Look, I know you made a mistake in the last book and well whats done is done. You can't take it back but you can fight for her. Stop being a stupid guy and FIGHT FOR HER! Claire, you better make him work for it. Morganville: The ending is as much as a surprise to the reader as well as the characters. I thought once they cross the border to Morganville all will be the same in the Glass house. But no, nothing is ever easy in Morganville. Which brings me to my next point, it's almost over....NOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! Fall Of Night is another excellent addition to the Morganville series. The momentum from Morganville is never lost even though Claire leaves for a while. A finely executed book leaving me hanging for more, Fall Of Night rocks!

Away from morgan ville, so it had some nice twists. Like all her books in this series it was easy to read and enjoy. Ending was quite a surprise. Can't wait for the next book now. Need a movie or mini series!

Our Review, by LITERAL ADDICTION's Pack Alpha - Michelle L. Olson: All I could say when I finished this book was "Holy mother...." I wasn't sure what to expect with all of the changes from the last couple books, the breakup of our known posse and the tension running  rampant, but if it's even possible for me to love one of these books even more than I already have been, Fall of Night did the trick! I started the book at 1am on release day because I simply couldn't wait, and by the next afternoon I was finished. I couldn't put it down!  I love the new characters, the action was even more intense than usual (and that's saying A LOT!), and the surprises... I don't even know  where to begin; I'm actually a bit speechless right now. Let me just say that I don't think I've said "OMG!" so many times over the course  of one book ever. Fall of Night was absolutely, amazingly, stunningly awesome! An easy 5 Skull read, and though I didn't think it was possible, this series (even after 14 books) just keeps getting better!

Have loved this series since the first one and it continues to be a great series to read. This book actually takes place up north and out of Morganville, but they end up with all the usual issues. Guess once you are used by a vampire, you continue to be used by vampires.

Wow! Rachel Caine and her Morganville series are AWESOME! So much happened it is very hard to discuss, so please be aware there may be spoilers ahead. I do have one little complaint...in the very beginning with Shane's arm and the weird dogs...enough crazy stuff has happened to this group that they shouldn't have let him leave until they knew more. That being said, it was a quite intriguing bit throughout wondering what he was turning into. We'll find out for sure in Daylighters. People will try to argue that Claire and Shane are too young to have such a deep relationship; however, after all they have been through they are not the typical young adult focused mostly on video games (maybe Shane a bit), their iPods, texting, and the latest fashion fad. They have grown with each battle and know themselves and what they need very well. Poor, poor Claire! She is now walking in the footsteps of another great inventor...Julius Robert Oppenheimer. Not familiar? Google him - I'm not spoiling anything here. I will mention that her MIT mentor creeped me out from the very beginning. What kind of an academic tells a student not to come into class after only 2 or 3 days together? Not any that I know of. Claire's "spidey senses" were not working in full capacity. Shane was outstanding...again! perhaps, he didn't completely give her what Claire at first wanted, but it turned out for the best. LOVED two of the new characters - Jesse and Paul. The fact that Jesse is really Lady Jane Grey...so very cool! Again, not familiar - Google her. Myrnin seems to be the ladies man...he's got history with Amelie, Jesse, Ada, Irene. How many others over the centuries of his life? I thought we completely lost him at one point - not a good part of the story for me. Did I cry? Once again too much was happening to process that...I just had to push on to see what horrific thing could happen next. My eyes bugged and my jaw was either clenched or slacked in disbelief as I pushed through the last few pages. I mentioned in another review having a hard time waiting for November 2...well, that first week in November is going to be a rough one for me because November 5, Daylighters (the final installment), is released. I seriously do not want this series to end and am grateful that Ms Caine promised her readers that other books may appear over time. My brain is whirling and my heart aching for what may come next. I very much want 11 characters to remain standing at the end but fear they will not. Which 11? The 8 that return to Morganville at the end of this book plus Hannah, Amelie, Gramma Day, and Monica. yes, that's right, Monica. Oh, and Bob. As I sit back and reflect, my emotions calming, I wonder if we couldn't have had a couple of chapters where Claire did get her "normal life" for a bit with Nick and his posse before things went completely haywire. They seemed like a really fun group. Seriously, I don't think anyone would complain if we had a few more books for this series. Ms. Caine comes up with such interesting and amazing and unique plot lines that they never seem trite or labored or that you are reading because you don't quit a series. They grab your attention and keep you running from cover to cover. However, the characters mentioned above deserve to rest and relax. I hope they find some earthly peace together before heavenly peace. Like Eve said, a trip to a mall or movie (outside town) with a nice vacation.

Oh my word! I really thought I was going to lose my mind over this book. I was already heartbroken in the last book over some decisions Claire had made. We start right where that left off and see her plans get followed through. I wanted to cry for all the characters affected! It's not long before all hell breaks loose though, and Claire gets pulled way deep back into vampire drama. Should have known... I really liked seeing people outside of Morganville who are in on the secret. It was also interesting to see how Claire interacted with people she knew before moving to Morganville. Surprises were all around in this book and it was very hard to even try to predict what would happen next. When it all boiled down everything *seemed* ok but in the last few pages, we find out that things are definitely NOT ok and we get left with another cliffhanger. I'm very anxious to read the next book and frustrated that I have 2 other books to read before I can! lol

I wanted to read this because I am addicted to Morganville, and I am flying towards the end of the series and can't stop.       This book was hard for me because Claire is leaving behind all of the characters that I have come to adore or at least know what to expect from.       Her old friend Elizabeth is going to be her new room mate and Elizabeth has changed from when Claire knew her and even though she is bubbly and shows moments of being real, most of the time she annoyed me.      It was hard for Claire to be away from Shane and I missed their easy and hot way they are together, but I definitely respect that his lack of trust in her with Michael last book certainly can't get off with a simple apology.        Her motives for going are good as well. She wants to establish herself as an independent young woman and fulfill her dream of MIT. She plans to go back to Morganville but she wants life experience outside of town as well.     The action was great as usual, and kept me flipping the pages and never wanting to stop. There were plot twists that really made me gasp or just sit slack jawed for a few minutes. Though somehow, everything got back to the semblance of normal that Claire has.      The ending was good, and it is what the books have been building up to. With the next being the last book, of course the events that went down were big and the culmination of the themes of the series. I can't wait to have a spot to keep reading.  Bottom Line: Great book with some new and shocking developments.
