Meet the Author

Christina Skye is the New York Times bestselling author of 32 books. She is a pushover for Harris tweed, Scottish cashmere, Chinese dumplings, French macarons and dark chocolate.

Not necessarily in that order.

After receiving her doctorate in classical Chinese literature, Christina worked as a writer, translator and consultant to travel companies, importers, museums and magazines, including the National Geographic Society, the Asia Society and the American Museum of Natural History. In 1990 she sold her first novel. Since then she has written four different series for five different publishers. She has appeared on ABC Worldwide News, Travel News Network, the Arthur Frommer Show, Geraldo, Voice of America, Looking East, and Good Morning, Arizona.
She generally has her knitting right beside her while she writes.

"Colors and textures running through my fingers help me concentrate on the flow of a book and the mystery of characters coming alive before my eyes. Knitting pulls me to a quiet place where a story can unfold at its deepest level."

    Fallen by Christina Skye

First let me say this was a great story, well written as expected. But, it dropped me flat on the ground, just like one of those horrid creatures after our heros. But, that leaves me wanting more! Just as a true story teller is supposed to do. What happens next, and how will I know when the next story is out? I can truly reccommend this story line, but if you are a person needing the complete story all at the same time, you might want to wait til the next segment comes out. I am one of those people & wish I had known, before beginning the story, that I would be left kind of hanging. That is why I gave only a 4 star rating. Sorry Christina.

    Not Up To Standard

This book is not up to Christina Skye's usual standard. It felt very rushed, pieced together, forced, highly improbable and confused. I AM a fan of her work and particularly love her Draycott Abbey books. I usually enjoy a unique blend of romance, relationships, intrigue, mystery, humor, sensuous, action, and pushing the edges of imagination, para-normal thread in her novels. This one however, "fell" flat on many levels. No finish for the main characters of the story. There seems to be no real reason why the two main characters should be drawn to each other beyond the vaguely explained "prophesy" - No spark, chemistry or connection. Main plot and sub-plot vague & undefined. Too much left unrevealed, unexplained & unbelieveable! I like a bit of mystery, whimsy, magic - but this is simply just stretching credibility too far. Not enjoyable.

Don't waste your time or money. All the 5 star reviews below are bogus. I hope BN removes them. Started with a good story line but it got so convoluted. Kept waiting for it to come together which it did somewhat towards the end. I usually read a book right on through but I kept putting it down and reading something else. Finally after a week, I wanted to end my misery and it did not let me down. Got to the climax then it ended abruptly without explaining much of anything. It's a sad day when a writer resorts to these tactics to make you buy the next book. I won't read any of her books hereafter.
