Overview

Emma rescued him because it was the “right” thing to do. He wasn’t your typical babe in the woods. He wore rustic clothing. His hair was too long. His face was too handsome. There was that tattoo of a flaming cross down the side of his neck too.

Now, as she’s speeding toward a dock with every intention of slamming into it, she found herself no longer wondering who he was, but rather, what he was. She turned around and looked at his absent face smiling nervously back at her, bracing himself as blacked winged Angels chased their runaway boat.

Was he a monster? Or some sort of demon? Why would Angels be after his life? Two months ago, her world still made sense. Now, nothing will ever be the same again. She had unwittingly put herself in the middle of a reigniting celestial war, and little did she know the fate of the world would soon be contingent on them. And she’d never even driven a boat before. 18, was going to be a tough year.

...I do recommend this book though it is only available on ebook and in kindle edition. I was wondering if this would be published on paperback or hardcover because it is a really great read. And surely you won't be disappointed. :]

...it was a very entertaining story, moved along quickly and kept me hooked into the story line. I found some of the story line predictable, but not all of it. Just like any good trilogy, there were a lot of lose ends left dangling and I was left hanging wishing I had the next story in hand to continue. Certainly a trilogy that I will be following!

Meet the Author

The latest edition will include this preface at the start:

Since the release of Retribution is complete, and Redemption is under way, I’ve done something that I’ve been dreading. I’ve gone back and reread Fallen. I am probably the harshest critic of my own writing, and felt that overall, Retribution was a much more polished novel. Fallen was the first full length novel I had ever written, but that is a pretty weak excuse to not go back and change a few things that have made me unhappy. I want to feel about it, the way that I feel about my second and third novels. Polished. Better put together.
If you’ve read the first edition and liked it, I very much appreciate your support. You won’t need to read the Redux edition by any means. The flow of the three books will not be disrupted, and nothing will have been dramatically changed. This new edition simply has extended scenes with alternate dialog along with a few other edits.

    I couldn't put it down!

I started reading this book and couldn't put it down. The story did not drag out, but moved at a good pace and the author kept it interesting. The end was my favorite part as I didn't see it coming. I can't wait for the next book to find out what's going to happen.

Can't wait for the next book in this series!

This book was very entertaining, I don't believe the next book in the series will be out until next fall. Looking forward to reading how the female characters are developed within this plot. A refreshing change from the vampire series which are very popular now. A great first work!

Very Fast and Easy Read! Hard to put down.

Whenever I pick up a book to read, I look for a story that will immerse me in a world that I have never been before. This is that kind of story. Its pacing is well thought out, and there is never a moment that you want to put this book down. An excellent choice for anyone that is looking for a great story, and needs a little more depth than the simplistic prose found in books written by authors such as Stephanie Meyer. This book, and future additions from Diep, are a welcome addition to my book collection, as they should be in yours.

    OKAY

FALLEN is definitely a YA (young adult) book...Ages 11-17 maybe? I expected more since the story line sounded interesting. But: 1) There are long, boring parts with repeated lines. 2) There are many punctuation and grammar errors. Plus, who uses the word "clobber" anymore? Oh yeah, Scooby Doo! 3) The story premise is implausible plus there are so many Biblical errors it's ridiculous. If you're going to write a book about angels, fallen or not, get your facts straight. Lucifer (aka Satan) IS NOT A GOOD GUY! Fallen angels are demons set out to destroy us - Not some cute, romantic guys acting heroic. Overall, okay in small ways but not worth the time. It's the first in a series.

    Hmm

It really was not all that good. I dony knoe what these people are tallking about it being so good not being ableto put down. Whatever i give it three stars it moves really slow and has barely any romance. Why is she not with remi????? What the heck. Oh well okay overall.

    I had no emotional investment

I didnt even finish the book. I couldnt bring myself to do it. I could not get into the story and i felt the characters were underdeveloped. Also the romace between the two main characters was basically non-existant. I would not recomend this book.
