The McCarthys of Gansett Island Series, Book 4

Since he won the Academy Award for best original screenplay a few years ago, Grant McCarthy's personal and professional lives have fallen apart. Abby, the woman he was supposed to marry, is engaged to someone else, and Grant is back at home on Gansett Island helping to run the family marina business while his father recovers from a serious injury. While all Grant's focus should be on winning back the love of his life, pesky Stephanie, who runs the marina restaurant, is working her way under his skin and into his bed. As Tropical Storm Hailey cuts off Gansett Island from the mainland, Grant suspects Stephanie is hiding something big from her past. When he finds out what it is, what will be more important to him? Winning Abby back or helping Stephanie to right a terrible wrong?

Highly recommend - Marie Force has done it again, she truly knows how to captivate her readers.

After 4 books in the series you would think the story about the McCarthys would run it's course but with Marie Force as the author you are sorely mistaken. This series just keeps getting better and better. You will fall in love with every single charater . Once you start make sure you have enough time to read the whole book you will not be able to put it down. Can not wait for the 5th book to come out This spring.

    Just ok

I really like this author but this book had way to much going on...there were three different stories going on at the same time. Took to much focus away from the main couple...iwould like to read more of Owen and Lauras story though

    Not My Fav

I am a huge fan of Marie Force, which is why it pains me to admit...I really didn't like this book. There was a LOT going on in this book. To me, it didn't seem like there was one focused couple. Not only did Grant and Stephanie get a storyline, but in come Mac and Maddie....then Francine and Ned had quite a story to tell as well. There was a little triangle with David, Joe and Janey...I admit it didn't last long, but I felt it was unnecessary. The ending really annoyed me, it was so...abrupt. I admit, I did like getting to visit with Mac, Maddie, Joe and Janey...but it just seemed to much to cram it all in one book. My favorite part of the book, was the birth of the baby. There was so much emotion packed in that delivery room it was very well written. I am the first to say, I understand not everyone likes every book, this just happens to be one I didn't care for.

I am still loving Gansett Island Series!  I especially love that

I am still loving Gansett Island Series!  I especially love that we get to keep up with all the characters that too me is the best.

Grant McCarthy has returned home after a tragic accident happened injuring Luke, Mac, & Big Mac! While home he also find out his ex fiance Abby has moved on with her life & is now engaged to another man name Cal Maitland!  Whom by the way happens to be the new doctor in town!  While still wanting her back & realizing he messed up he meets a girl named Stephanie & who knew the romance that would unfold between those two! Its juicy & romantic so you might wanna read the book to find out all the sweet, loving & exotic details! Also do not forget that with each book you learn even more on the previous characters & what is now going on in their lives :)

    Too repetitive

The story of Grant and Stephanie could have been told in less than 50 pages. The first two books in the series had the strongest story lines. The third was weak and now the fourth is nearly non-existant.

    more from this reviewer

    Can't stop reading this series!

Although I'm not much of a romance reader, this series is one that I will follow until the end! (Which is hopefully never.) The McCarthy men are the quintessential knights on white horses, and gorgeous to boot. Can't wait to read more about them!

    loved the whole series

I loved this whole series. I loved how the characters continued to be part of the on going series. However, once we got a few books in, there were so many characters that it got a little difficult to keep up. I believe the author is letting some of the characters go without them being referenced which i appreciate after book 8 or 9. But this did feel like a series where some books reference the previous characters once and you didn't really need to read the previous books. Not sure if I'll keep up with the series since I'll forget who everyone is by the time the next book comes out.

    Highly recommended

Falling For Love was my favorite so far of the Gansett Island Series. I can't wait to read the rest of the series. I would recommend this book to all readers. You can read this one without having read books 1 - 3 because Marie Force reviews happenings in the previous books. However, I would suggest you begin with Book 1. This is a very good book and a very good series!

    Highly recommended

Love the book! I love all the books of the Gansett Island Series. It is better to go in order of the sequence to know the characters. Each couple is enjoying to read about. The books are well written. Can't wait for Gansett After Dark to come out. The books are definitely worth the purchase.
