Falling Forward

Editorial Reviews

All Music Guide - Stephen Thomas Erlewine
Willy Porter's third album Falling Forward continues in the same pleasant, adult alternative pop
ock vein as his previous two records. Even if the record is uneven, he is continuing to deepen and mature as a songwriter, which means that the high points are higher than before, but they're still surrounded by filler. Since that filler is well-crafted and pleasant, Falling Forward is an enjoyable listen through and through, but the best moments shine brightly enough to serve as a reminder that Porter's best work is yet to come.
