Overview

Azazel relishes the chance to be on the offensive for once. Chased all her life, fighting one enemy or another who intended to kill her, it's nice to be pursuing the bad guys instead of running from them.

Of course, Jason doesn't agree that they're bad guys. He doesn't think they have the right to make moral judgments like that. Not after all the horrible things they've done. He chooses to stay home and get to know his son, Chance.

Jason spends his days playing with Chance and going to parent-teacher conferences. Azazel spends hers hunting down and killing people who sell Nephilim blood. Jason tries to pretend he doesn't long for a life of action, but deep down, he misses violence. He craves it.

The strain of domestic life is getting to Jason.

It won't be long until he snaps.

Meet the Author

V. J. Chambers likes bad boys, but she likes them to be actual bad boys, not misunderstood weaklings who cover up their emotional scars with a thin veneer of pretend bad-boy-ness.

She likes to tackle difficult philosophical questions. She likes to push fiction to the edge, to go just a little farther.

She writes stories about difficult people living difficult lives in difficult situations. Usually, there’s magic. Or monsters. Or space. Or gun fights. A lot of times, there’s also L-O-V-E. (Or at least uncomfortable conversations about sex.)

She’s the author of the Jason and Azazel series and many other stories for teens and adults. She lives in Shepherdstown, WV with her boyfriend Aaron and their cat.

    LOVE JASON & AZAZEL!

I have loved every book that has been written about Jason and Azazel. I could and would read them forever! A lot of surprises in this, and she gets a little deep into religious theories, but if you are confident in your faith, there shouldn't be a problem. I also asked the author if the theories were made up or if there was actually research done, and she informed me that for the most part it was made-up. Can't wait for #9!!! I waiting on Azazel to have a baby :)
