Meet the Author

JOHN L. WARD is the Wild Group Professor of Family Business at IMD, Clinical Professor and Director of the Kellogg School Center of Family Enterprises, Northwestern University and founder of the Family Business Consulting Group International. He is recognized as one of the world's leading authorities on the family business.
 
AMY SCHUMAN is a Principal with the Family Business Consulting group, working with family businesses to create conditions that support successful continuity across the generations. Amy was the founding Facilitator of the Next Generation Leadership Institute, an intensive, two-year program for next generation family business leaders at the Loyola University Chicago Family Business Center. She authored Nurturing the Talent to Nurture the Legacy: Career Development in the Family Business and co-authored, with John L. Ward, Family Education for Business Owning Families: Strengthening Bonds by Learning Together. Amy is a graduate of the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University. 

STACY STUTZ is a Chicago-based independent consultant with nearly twenty years of diverse experience in consulting and management. Her experience spans from small private companies to Fortune 500 corporations in industries ranging from financial services to consumer electronics. As an Affiliate of The Family Business Consulting Group, Stacy assists family enterprises in establishing appropriate governance and management strategies to sustain them into future generations of owners. Ms. Stutz is an engineer and a graduate of the Kellogg Graduate School of Management.
