Overview

Troy Dunn shares his tested and proven tools for repairing a broken family. He believes that whether you are just feeling a little stagnant in your home life or are already at your wit’s end, there are clear steps to restore joy, connectedness and unity within your family or partnerships. This book focuses on recognizing both personal and family needs, how to break old patterns to improve individual happiness, as well as happiness within a partnership and within the family unit as a whole. Dunn explains that although we can’t necessarily fix our given family, we owe it to ourselves to fix the family we have or are founding. His Life Changing Action Plan (LCA) includes four steps to determine what is wrong with your relationship, embrace the idea of change in a long-lasting way, repair damage and rebuild one’s marriage or relationship, and provide empowerment and tools to permanently stabilize a family. Also dissected, diagnosed and given rules for remedy are 10 Relationship Roadblocks, including the biggest taboos of all: money and sex! This is a wake-up call for anyone who needs a little or larger dose of relationship remedy.

Meet the Author

Troy Dunn is the creator and executive producer of the #1 rated show on WE Network, “The Locator” and host of the TNT series “APB with Troy Dunn.” As a husband and father, Dunn truly is an expert on family — he and his wife, high school sweetheart Jennifer, have been married for more than 25 years and have 8 children, one of whom suffers from pediatric cancer. He is also the author of the best-selling book "Young Bucks," from which all proceeds have gone to pediatric cancer research. Dunn has spent over 20 years dedicating and building his career around repairing fractured families, beginning with the search for his own mother's birth mother. Having reunited over 40,000 people with their birth families over the last 25 years, giving them the tools to cut through the despair, resentments, blame, and anger that have driven them apart, Dunn has helped them find each other again and enjoy the love, security, and amazing joy that a rebuilt, healthy family creates.

Really elementary-level reading style. Not sure what his qualifications are, given that he profits off of sealed records and piggy backs onto high profile custody cases such as the Veronica Brown kidnapping. The writing was terrible and all in all was very common-sense type of stuff. Save yourself the money.
