Some of the items feature embellishments such as ribbon, while others glisten with rhinestones and beads. Among the charming projects: a Prima Ballerina doll; Theatre La Rousse, complete with a Pierrot; Cupcake Papier Mache Box; and paper posies with fanciful faces to "plant" in pots.

Editorial Reviews

Library Journal
The "posh little follies" of the title are paper collage dolls in whimsical poses with theatrical or literary themes. Evertson, owner of a shop called Paris Flea Market Designs, cleverly uses vintage paper ephemera for her doll projects, which she makes in the style of French jumping jacks, flower fairies, and commedia dell'arte characters. The step-by-step projects include reproductions of vintage papers that may be photocopied and used similarly. These are flights of fancy unlike most paper crafts. Recommended for all public libraries. Copyright 2005 Reed Business Information.
