It's not every day a girl inherits a condom company, and to say accountant Alice Beasley is astonished and out of her depth is putting it mildly. For an almost virgin, she needs a quick education in all things condom because her inheritance is in danger. Someone is intent on sabotage and trying to destroy her new company.

Alice is suddenly getting down and dirty with charismatic James, the factory manager, all in the name of business, testing new condom designs. The sex is hot. Mind-blowing. It's a dark thrill and an erotic journey. Yeah, it's a hard job, but a girl's got to do what a girl's gotta do.

Alice wants James. She craves his talented touch and sultry kisses, she desires passion and physical pleasure on a permanent basis but first she must convince bad-boy James to give up his fancy-free ways.

After a childhood immersed in poverty, all Alice Beasley wants is a life of financial security bound to a safe man. She thinks she has this until the day she goes to the small town of Sloan to acquire her grandmother's inheritance. She's then propelled down the rabbit hole to a new life of excitement and uncertainty. Alice is now to take part in the management of the Fancy Free condom company, much to the unhappiness of her fiancee. Teaching her the ropes for the next six months is the super sexy James Bates. And what starts out as lessons in the boardroom soon leads to lessons in the bedroom. Alice desperately wants the company to succeed so she can gain her inheritance. So she throws aside her stuffy fiancee and throws herself wholeheartedly into the world of condoms and sexual matters. Under the guise of product testing, Alice and James start a relationship that is at first casual but slowly becomes more. It soon becomes apparent that there's a traitor in the company, one who not only wants to harm the business but Alice as well. By protecting her, will James finally find a reason to stay in one place forever or will he toss away love for more wanderings? Alice is a wonderful character who has always felt self-conscious about her looks and been intensely worried about her finances. Watching her with James is like watching a flower bloom. She becomes more outspoken and starts taking chances in life and in love. James is also a very likable character. He's always been seen as a womanizer who can't settle down. His relationship with Alice allows us to see a different side of him, one that's capable of commitment. They're the perfect couple, working through misunderstandings quickly while bringing out the best in each other. Not to mention how combustible they are in the bedroom. Small town living is presented realistically with many colorful characters and a town gossip. All of this adds to the storyline's mystery and infuses it with greatly appreciated humor. There are also quite a few characters that I'd like to see more of. And I will definitely be the first in line to purchase any sequels that are released.

Over all a fun read with interesting characters. I felt the plot was a bit predictable, but I still enjoyed watching it unfold.

This was another book that I started reading, that I wasn’t sure what to expect when I started it. But let me say this, I was not prepared for this book AT ALL. And that was a really good thing in my opinion. Holy crapsauce man, this book had some parts that were just hilarious to me. I am not sure I would have done in Alice’s shoes, but I did enjoy watching the journey that she went on during the course of this book. Of course there is James as well, who is just off the walls hot, and I mean off the walls. I think I would stick around just for him! There is drama, suspense, romance, knitting needles and of course sex in this book and it just keeps getting better with each page that turns. There are some parts that will leave you laughing, some parts that might freak you out, and parts that will leave you on the edge of your seat running to take a cold shower. All in all, I would recommend this book to friends of mine because it has a great plot line, and there wasn’t too much extra information that could only lead to confuse you. It was written very well in my opinion and I would read others in this series. Review provided by Crystal's Many Reviews

I liked this book. It's NOT your mother's  book to read and definitely not your under 18 reader. This story had everything-humor, scary, mysterious and of course sex. Alice got a new life when she  inherited her godmother' s condom factory. There were stipulations to getting it-like staying in town for 6 months. She has to work with James who promised to teach her the business. It was fun to watch Alice mature as the book moves along. James also learned about people and life. This is a medium length read. Give this book a chance. It's sexy not dirty.

It was ok. I enjoyed the mystery, the whodunnit, but the transformation of Alice was far to quick. James came off as a playboy, even in his own words, but then somehow hes viewed differently. It was just to inconsistent for me. I wouldve liked more dialogue between the characters. Alot of inner dialogue. For me, the mystery aspect was cool, the sensual scenes lacked, but it was free.

Fancy Free (Fancy Free 1 ) Shelley Munro. ARC provided by Netgalley. This was a fun read, part romance part light-hearted thriller, quick and easy to read. It's one of those books that don't need to much concentration and you can just enjoy the writing and humour without worrying about who is who, and where they fit in the story. Sometimes we need a book like this, one which will entertain and leave us feeling good. Everyone needs a fun escape from the realities of life sometimes. Anyway Alice inherits a condom company from her godmother. She's had little contact with her and so finding out about the company came as a shock, not least because of her very strict church going parents who'd instilled in her the notion that sex was not talked about. Her boyfriend, a lawyer, sees it as disgraceful and wants her to pass up on it, he's worried it will reflect badly on him. He's a selfish individual, and Alice seems to be with him for security rather than love. Having seen poverty as a child security is ultra important to her. However she has to stay with the company for six months to inherit the money she's been left, and the current manager James ( ah James ….Mr sex on a stick!!) has agreed to stay for that time and show her the ropes. Through a series of disasters the necessity for the companys' latest condoms need testing quickly, but as there's been a leak somewhere Alice and James need to do the testing. Alice is very lacking in sexual experience, calls herself an almost virgin, and there was certainly nothing more than a mild kiss between her and her boyfriend. Still, that relationship is gone now, he left when Alice said she was staying. She gets engrossed in the running of the company, and the board of elderly but very active and funny members. She sees that rather than something to be ashamed of, which was her first reaction to the company thanks to her parents and her strict upbringing, that its actually a good thing, condoms are needed for many reasons and certainly the area needs the employment it brings. She and James have great fun testing (lots and lots of fun!!) and she becomes very attracted to him, but all the while she needs to keep reminding herself that he's leaving to travel at the end of the six months. There's some great characters here, from the board of oldies, the anti condom group in the village, James family, and of course Alice and James. Its easy to see where the story is going, but its a fun time getting to the conclusion and some interesting , humorous, sexy diversions along the way. Its a well written story, with some amusing sub plots and some spicy sexy moments between James and Alice. Amazing value at only 57p for 266 pages, its a one off read for me, but for lovers of light-hearted romance it may be one for the keeper files. Its certainly good quality of writing and an entertaining and amusing read. Stars: four.

Meh My ability to suspend disbelief and settle in and enjoy this bit of erotica was strained here. It felt a bit like bad porn. The heroine was fine  but the hero was okay. The secondary characters were all annoying. The sex scenes were much more emotionally engaging than the  rest of the story. This one didn't more for me. I am fairly picky about contemporary erotic though so it may be to your taste.  I was given this book for my honest review and so there you have it.

If you love quirky Tim Burton movies then you'll love Fancy Free! The story of a shy woman inheriting a condom company, Fancy Free, and deciding she needs to know more about the product this odd bird chooses the factory manager as her way of doing it. This book is funny, odd, hilarious and occasionally you wanna cringe at the things that the heroine spouts out. Despite it Alice is a joy to read for all the oddness included and she has nice growth arc as a character, while still remaining peculiar. James on the other hand had the playboy meets a prude story arc that was thoroughly enjoyable and his worry that his new "kink" was prissy almost virgins in horrid clothing was quite amusing. The romance was in the guaranteed Ellora's Cave fashion hot, oh so hot! There is something about virginal quiet girls that bag and bang a stud muffin that just delights me! Especially when the aforementioned stud muffin has it bad for her and is creative in showing aforementioned virginal quiet girl just how many ways there are to use a condom!

I really enjoyed this book.  It is not a book that you would read to take seriously, but it is an enjoyable 3 hr read.  It has 206 pages and it is a great deal for the money at $1.49.  Would recommend it.
