    Helps develop vocabulary!

This story helps children acquire vocabulary words such as excluded, reply, unique, and many more. Not only does it instruct, the book has a plot. It has a problem, solution and a lesson. I will definitely look for more books in this series for my daughters.

Fancy Nancy is a favorite in my household

My daughter is very fancy herself - she really enjoyed this book and she was able to learn about emotions (joy, disappointment, jealousy). She usually has me read it twice to her. If you like Fancy Nancy books you're sure to enjoy this one too.

    Pajama Day is a delight

I gave this book to my granddaughter, who is in kindergarten. She could not read it herself, but enjoyed very much listening to me read it to her. The Fancy Nancy series is cleverly written and works to improve a child's vocabulary, even though it is above a Level One reader's skill.

    more from this reviewer

    I Also Recommend:

A perfect gift for a new reader.

It was my best friends daughters 4th Birthday I wanted to get away from the toys and clothing ideas. Instead I purchased a group of books to begin her own library at home. Two weeks after the party the Mom comes up to me and is ecstatic, not only is her daughter asking her questions but demanding story time.

    It's Okay.

Fancy Nancy always has a cute story, but this book is way beyond a level one reader's ability.

What can you say about Fancy Nancy?

My four year old is also a serious Fancy Nancy fan. Thay are good choice for beginners and they are very well illustrated. They made the bedtime list also.

    Highly Recommended

The "I Can Read" series is wonderful. I buy the "Fancy Nancy" series of books for a friends daughter. Her daughter did not enjoy reading but now when I hand over a Fancy Nancy book her daughter will rush off to her house and sit in her favorite chair and read her book. That is what it is all about. Getting children to read is so important.
