    I Also Recommend:

Teach young ones about Earth Day at an early age !

I've been buying my grand-niece " Fancy Nancy " books since she was 3 and she absolutely loves them. As well as the colorful, eye-catching graphics and artwork, there is always a lesson to be learned while children are entertained. "Every Day is Earth Day" is not only fun to read, but at the same time teaches kids about keeping our environment green, recycling and a delightful read for any youngster !
Another plus is the series has reading levels suitable for different age groups, to help you decide which book is age appropriate. Any child in your life would enjoy reading " Fancy Nancy's " adventures !

    more from this reviewer

    I Also Recommend:

    Everyday is Earth Day

While I don't think this is really appropriate level #1--I can Read Book (too difficult)--it is a great book. Fancy Nancy educates her family on the little things they can do to protect the environment and as always gets a little too enthusiastic. Charming and fun!

    Fancy Nancy Earth Day

Fancy Nancy gives lessons on how to be greener for everyone. Nancy also learns to be a little less bossy and finds good use for her green crayon. I love how the author teaches words to children and gives them the meaning while telling the story. We learn how to be greener in very fun ways. It made us think on how we can be greener and help the planet. It is a great book for sharing ideas with family and friends. It is a book that really makes you think and to realize we have to start thinking globally and not be selfish and think only about ourselves.

Fancy Nancy is a wonderful series

My daughter absolutely loves the Fancy Nancy series, and so do I. It is a wonderful series to help with vocabulary building. It's educational while being fun to read, too. Fancy Nancy loves to use fancy words and also gives the definitions for the words. The characters are very cute. The illustrations are wonderful and ornate as Fancy Nancy loves for everything to be fancy. In Fancy Nancy: Every Day Is Earth Day, the book also gives excellent rules and rhymes for children to try to live greener. It's a nice reminder about how easy it is to make small changes in our every day lives that can actually help the planet, too.

My granddaughter loves the Fancy Nancy series!

With grandma's name being Nancy, it seemed like an obvious selection for my granddaughter! I love the way new vocabulary is introduced in a fun way that is easy to remember and connect with a picture. Fancy Nancy, Bree, and Frenchy are great. The illustrations are exquisite, that's a fancy name for great! My granddaughter has bought Fancy Nancy for her 2 year old friend and enjoys checking Fancy Nancy out from the library.

A good awarness book for young children.

A delightful story with a message all children should hear and heed. The story gives examples that children can follow to help our enviornment. A much needed example for children and adults to follow...

    Another great Fancy Nancy book

This book helps to fill a void of topical issues written at a low reading level. While it's classified as fiction, it is an instructional story with facts about Earth Day activities. Even young readers are aware of the need to care for the earth, and this presents ideas for them to read about independently. Kids find the character engaging and entertaining while absorbing knowledge and expanding their vocabularies at the same time.

What a great way to help your little girl learn about environmental issues.

My daughter and I reread this book again and again. We use the learning rhymes to help us remember ways to help the earth. We are big Fancy Nancy fans and this book is no exception. We read this one many times a week. I love that Nancy helps my daughter and I find ways to be green all around our house and our neighborhood. We are helping out at school also using Fancy Nancy's tips and ideas. I am never in doubt when I purchase a Fancy Nancy book that my purchase will be educational, inspirational, funny, and a great addition to our bookshelves.
