Overview

Second in the Island Guardians series.

Farrah follows the call of flames. The power of fire is strong in her and hard to contain. Her time of claiming is approaching and she fears the ones who plan to claim her. Running from home in search of the Guardian of Earth, Farrah stumbles into the path of the Donan brothers and finds her life drastically changed. What will she do with not one, not two, but three warriors vying for her attention and setting her body aflame?

Marcus, Alexi and Bannen Donan stand six-foot-seven inches with blond hair and fierce blue eyes. They played by the rules once before and lost their chosen mate. This time they will take first and deal with the consequences later. The green-eyed beauty with the fire-streaked golden hair will belong to them. And nothing will stand in the way of the bond they will form together. Not even the ones who followed with a claim of their own.

I loved all the books in the series. After reading the first one had to order all of the remaining books in the Island Guardians. I will read more of Lacy Thorn books. She had written so many books do not know where to start! m

I thought this was a weaker book then first one. Character development was rushed and development of their relationship from a sex scene strangely reminicent of rape with a gloss of her supposed pleasure regardless of her unwillingness into love a few pages later left a sour taste. At least in the first book the progression of the relationship was believable because they knew eachother for years before and she only feared the mechanics of the sex act with two men. With this book the three took her first chance and she didnt even know two of their names or that there was three not just two. Just didnt start off good for me and soured the rest of it which had a nice spin, but was still rushed and weak. I just feel like i knew the characters from the first book better and thought they had true chemistry. Im debating if it will be a fiscal waste to invest in the rest of the series.
